What do you do at Allstate Roofing & More, LLC?
I am the Production Manager. I manage the work crews and jobs and inspect all jobs to make sure that they meet our standards and level of quality. I also act as the main point of contact for the customers during a project—addressing any questions or concerns.
How did you get into the industry?
When I was 14, my best friend’s dad had a small roofing company and I started working with his crew—I was on the ground cleaning up shingles. I ended up working my way up through roofing crews, and eventually went into management.
Do you hold any certifications?
I’m OSHA certified to teach OSHA training classes. I also hold GAF and Certainteed certifications.
What are your areas of expertise?
Anything out of the ordinary on a roof. I am able to develop custom solutions and communicate to the crew the what and why.
What do you like most about your job?
The interaction with the customers. When customers have questions and concerns, I have over 18 years of knowledge to share with them. I like to not only answer their questions, but to make sure that they feel confident with what is happening to their home.
What do you want every homeowner to know?
That they should not put off repairs and maintenance. The more that they put it off, the more involved and expensive it can be. For example, a small roof leak can turn into damage to the decking, framing, walls, and entire interior.
What are your hobbies?
I spend the majority of my free time with my two small children. I don’t have too much time these days, but I have been collecting stamps and coins since I was a kid.
What is your favorite food?
What would people be surprised to know about you?
I lived in a tent in Zambia for four months while doing missionary work.
